December 13, 2014, 4:55 pm Just had this caller from 01315614532 claimed to be calling on behalf of NatWest. Told him to bog off. Second time in as many weeks. First time I actually started to engage with them as I had recently complained to NatWest about one of their so called 'Business Managers' (you know, a young girl with minimal training from Essex but with a title). As it progressed it was obviously nothing to do with NatWest - even though the caller appeared more professional than NatWest it has to be said - I told him that it was strange as I had already spoken and taken a survey with NatWest and at that point he couldn't get off the phone quickly enough - a bit like NatWest when you complain ! February 1, 2015, 10:37 am Had a call from this number this morning, the woman had a strong Scottish accent and claimed she was calling on behalf of the BBC, Sky and BT to conduct a survey. She went on to ask me how many 16 to 23 year old live in the house. I told her the amount, she then went on to ask if I own the property, to which I said no. Her reply was 'we are looking for people with mortgages sorry' (although 16 & 17 year olds cant get mortgages). Anyway I said okay and she asked if I cook and clean in the house, I told her I do and she then went on to say I'm what she's looking for. She started asking how many working T.Vs are in the house and that's when I hung up. Very weird, I got the feel this company aren't calling on behalf of who they say they are! February 13, 2015, 12:30 pm Got a call from this number at 18.45 last night claiming that they were calling on behalf of our local Hospital Trust (BFW). I thought they were going to tell me some bad news about a relative. Turned out they were from Ipsos Moray conducting a survey. I happen to work for that Trust and we cannot even order pens etc. due to lack of funds so I cannot see them paying this shower to conduct surveys!!! Told them where to go! February 17, 2015, 4:26 pm I didn't answer their call so I don't know how useful this is, but I reverse phonebook searched the number and apparently it's a landline in Edinburgh (put it through whitepages). So no affiliation with a legit/registered company. They rang twice, second time they gave up quicker than the first time, and left no message. We would conduct calls on behalf of bank of Scotland for customers who had been in for a branch visit. We would ask about their visit hows was the clerk - very good, good, fair or poor. They are an outsourced company so I don't know what other campaigns they have on but if its the same place it is legit just a total pain in the arse to go through Caller Type: Telemarketer

After 25 minutes of me stupidly answering questions I said I had to go but she carried on and I had to cut her off. Very strong scottish accent. They rang again today to ask me to finish. May 22, 2015, 10:49 am Just had a call saying that they were IPSOS a UK Commission acting on behalf of the government wanting to know what our staff did in their duties! Said did not complete surveys over the phone and they asked for an e-mail address. Did not supply as if the government wanted any information they would process this through their Office of Statistics. June 7, 2015, 2:25 pm Haven't answered the last two calls one being at 20.40hrs on Friday and now today at 14.15hrs on a Sunday.Glad I didn't answer and hopefully they will give up but it's getting to the stage where you feel reluctant to answer your own phone as doing so tells the caller/scammer someone lives at this number.It seems various reasons are given for call but this should stop as it's very annoying!

June 17, 2015, 5:53 pm I had a call yesterday at 9:00 pm and as I could not get to the phone in time they left a message on the answer phone. I listened to the message they left and it sounded complete mumbo jumbo but the person(male) sounded very distressed and so I did a 1471 to find the number before I phoned back. As I did not recognise the number I enquired via Google and landed on this site ...... my suspicions were immediately proven so I thank everyone for there input. June 19, 2015, 2:17 pm IPSOS - Claimed to be contacting me on behalf of Wales Gov Scheme (A scheme I was on two years ago which helped me get on an apprenticeship scheme) They wanted to asked me whether this was a beneficial scheme to me. Things that annoyed me about this were the times of calls, close to 9.00PM most nights. I got that agitated with them that I asked for my details to be removed after they called at 9.30PM on a Saturday night, unless you physically speak to them , you are unable to get your details removed. I NEVER give my mobile phone number out, when I do give personal information I always ask that it's not used for marketing or given to 3rd parties, so I have no idea how a company obtained it. Having reviewed the comments here, I wonder if this is connected to TV Licensing. I have no licence because I don't watch or record live television & have received letters from TVL and a visit from Capita asking to enter my home to check (I refused).
