June 25, 2014, 11:31 am Received a call from this number I answered but never said anything silence on the other side after 30seconds it went dead . I never called it back as I'm fully aware of the scams that go on ill be contacting my network as it's not the first spam call I've received , I've had calls at 3am from spam numbers getting sick of it , it's pretty obvious that my network are selling their customers numbers to marketing company's etc . June 25, 2014, 12:00 pm I got a phone call from this number saying they were Scottish power I'm not even with them. Tries to put the phone down but when I picked it up again the music was still playing. I put it down again & 5 minutes later I picked it up & they were gone. Did try to call back but exactly the same happened to me background music and no message, switched off quickly in case i was being charged mega money for the call. August 26, 2014, 11:25 am Had a 01527419134 call from 'Scottish Power'10.49 on 26 august. I Scottish Power weeks ago. When I queried this they hung up. Advised Scottish Power who said they are not aware of this didnt seem interested.Hard to believe they dont know given the number of online references to this fraud phone number coming from 'Scottish Power'. December 12, 2014, 3:33 pm This number is calling several times a day. I googled and found a lot of info online saying it was Scottish Power debt collection. We are currently in dispute with them and the Financial Ombudsman is dealing with it. I picked up today and told them not to call again. They then called back 4 hours later and left a message! I have reported the number and the harassment to the Financial Ombudsman who have told me they will contact Scottish Power and to ignore the calls. Closed my account with Scottish power and they refunded to me my overpayment at the end of the contract Now they are chasing me for a disputed meter reading with my new provider. August 15, 2015, 11:55 am Numbers with the STD code 01527 (Redditch) followed by 419 xxx are used by a debt collection agency based at Grosvenor House in Redditch. They are NOT Scottish Power but misrepresent themselves as "Scottish Power Debt Management Team". They also been known try to use the "open phone-line" trick to get more information or pretend to be someone else when you then try to contact Scottish Power directly on a different number, a fraudsters' trick so be careful! September 24, 2015, 4:28 pm I got sent a letter from Scottish Power regarding monies i owe to them, despite not being a customer and never having been a customer. Called the number provided on the letter and asked for a call back so I wouldn't have to pay for the call and this was the number that called back. October 20, 2015, 3:01 pm called me on my mobile 3 times today. I didn't answer but read what has been said on this forum. I was with Scottish power at my previous address. I left credit on the account when I moved only to be billed £4,500. I obviously disputed this as it was obviously a huge error on their part. After 6 months they have finally got back to me saying I owed £53.00. This was yesterday and I am receiving calls from this number already!! I refuse to answer. If this bill is correct then haven't we got up to 30 days to pay?? Really annoyed at this harassment as they expect me to pay straight away when it has taken 6 months to sort mess out. September 27, 2016, 4:54 pm This "company" has absolutely nothing to do with Scottish power plc in any way shape or form. The are in fact called Scottish power Debt Management Team but when they call the person will mumble the last few word to try and trick you and when questioned will blame it on a bad connection. We've had over ten calls from them in the past month. At first it was a pain but now i just string them along for a few moments then keep repeating the same word over and over to them. I find made up word work best as this perplexes them quite easily. Thribblethorp seems to be the best, have you ever listened to a person with a think indian accent and lack of basic English trying to repeat that word ? It's a joy to hear.. I do have a complaint with Scottish Power but can prove do not owe money, as bills 2 years ago show nil outstanding balance. Have now blocked the number. April 19, 2017, 10:32 pm Had a call from this number representative of Scottish power apparently. Asked me for my full name and dob. I have wrote a. Complaint to Scottish power in regards to this as 1 i never opened an account with them and 2 how on earth and why would they have my dob on their system.
