July 16, 2014, 8:32 pm Repeat calls from this number ended up being the well-reported eventvwr scam from "Microsoft Windows Technical Department" or "PC Experts" or any other name they can think of. They get angry when you confront them and are very aggressive. This scam is documented on various websites even Microsoft's own. Say their number is 02032869239 to call back on to confirm their validity but their outgoing number is 01614081867. Best advice is to hang up, or keep them on the line as much as possible to stop them scamming other people. Caller Company: John Parker, John B----, John Burford, Edward, John Edwards... August 19, 2014, 10:24 am Had them ring this morning (19 August 2014). When I asked for a ring back number, they hung up. 1471 gave 0161 408 1867. August 21, 2014, 9:26 am Just had a call again from these people - it's about the third one this week. The usual scam call trying to tell me that my computer had loads of bad material downloaded on it via cookies and of course they needed my IP address in order to sort things out. August 26, 2014, 9:22 pm Just had a call from a very pushy guy and earlier today by a woman.Telling me that my computer will be blocked within the next 30mins.I told him I was not inetersted and nhe insisted that it was an emergency. November 25, 2016, 12:43 pm Has rung me twice today to offer web design services and won't take no for an answer! Sounds Indian. I was dealing with an Indian call center the day before, while sorting out domain hosting with 1&1, not sure if they're connected, but I did ask for my registry details to be private!
