January 12, 2015, 1:33 am Elkador Finance claiming to offer the chance on getting PPI refunds for bank overpayments because you were improperly sold finacial products. A lot of people getting these calls have never even paid into PPI so I think it's a safe bet that they are mass calling people off a list they bought. No idea if they are legit or not. March 27, 2015, 11:03 am PPI reclaim - all they require is a name, date of birth and postcode - offer to fill in all forms which only takes a couple of minutes and in 4-6 weeks a refund is available - their fee is 36% - very pushy - stand your ground! April 16, 2015, 1:15 pm Said they could tell me in 2 minutes if I was owed PPI as I was on a database of people who hadn't claimed compensation so far. I politely said no thank you and put the phone down and she immediately called back. I told her I was registered with TPS but she claimed they were not making a marketing call. April 18, 2015, 8:31 am This company called me, said I had £1.667 ppi refund due. He put me through to TSB, I refused to give my bank details. The woman at TSB said there could be a third party on the line, with that I got cut off from TSB and this chap from Elkador came back on the line. I said I think this is a bit dodgy and I'm not interested. He said he didn't need my bank details so how does he know I have paid ppi then. Caller Company: Elkador Caller Type: Scammer

April 28, 2015, 2:19 pm Elkador Finance just called me again using this number. They got my name right but that was about it. Apparently I am owed £2500 from the bank for PPI. I explained that I have not taken out a loan so this information was incorrect. The chappy refused to believe everything I was saying and said that I must have taken out some form of insurance in the past 25 years. It's something that has been paid in monthly installments; either mobile phone insurance, travel insurance or credit card repayments. I have no mobile insurance, credit card or travel insurance so the records must be wrong. He assured me that he will be updating the database to avoid future calls - I bet I get another call from them later this week. I had a call last month and was told exactly the same. He told me he was then putting me through to the Bank. i must admit I fell for it all. But I was suspicious so I looked them up on the Internet and then found this site. May 28, 2015, 5:19 pm Elkador Finance did help me to claim back on my MBNA card from the 90's I was put through to the ppi team at mbna and they confirmed i had payed ppi they do put you through to the bank on a 3 way call but its all trusting. May 28, 2015, 5:23 pm Elkador finance contacted me and explained everything in full including the fee, I was not aware I had PPI and by the end of the call they had shown me I had paid for PPI on 3 of my loans. He said he was putting me through to the Halifax bank and I should ask them for my credit card numbers. I was suspicious and checked them out on this website. July 28, 2015, 12:13 pm I have received a call from Elkador Finance and they told me that I have outstanding PPI claims and they can help me to resolve this matter and have my money back. They send me the forms and I have read and signed the forms which I was told that they will send it to the bank. I have query with the banks and they have not yet submitted any claims after three weeks of them having the forms. I have notified the banks of this behaviour and asked to cancel any correspondence received from the company in question. I have called the number they gave me and it doesn't work. August 14, 2015, 1:49 pm The person calling was from "Elkador Finance" and they directed me to my HSBC bank and then the bank asked me if someone had directed me with this call and I had said yes. They hung up on me. The person from Elkador Finance called me back and told me not to tell the bank that they had directed me. I am very suspicious of this call and I think it's a scam. September 8, 2015, 6:35 pm claimed to know exactly where and when i had paid PPI even though she never quoted me any of the banks or creditcards i have used. was adamant i had paid PPI even when i told her i had never once paid PPi. wanted to pass me onto someone for a 5 minute chat about ppi reclaim at which point i hung up. October 1, 2015, 4:36 pm Elkador Finance contacted me.. They put me throught to Lloyds tsb. At first she was very pushy so i just give it a go. I previously went to the bank and they told me i never payed ppi... but when they put me through to a ppi line lloyds located 6 Loans which had the protection attached to which i wasn't very happy about considering i trusted my bank and would think they would of told me i had it. They DID advise me the fee of 30% plus 6% VAT. i wasn't really bothered about the fee considering all i had to do was sign the forms and sent them back. Overall i was rather happy with their service. October 19, 2015, 1:34 am I received a call and was told i had £1300 owing to me from missold ppi,i told the caller i had been declared bankrupt and didn,t think was owed anything, they were very persistant so after calling my bank with them listening in i reluctantly signed the papers they sent me.A few weeks later i got a call from them and a letter from the bank i was with when i was made bankrupt,i was awarded just over£6500, I was so excited even though their fee was 36% £4100 was a lot to me, however i was so disappointed when the cheque for £6500 was sent directly to the official receiver in Leeds because of my earlier bankruptcy which was 15 years ago,i don,t know what i will do if i still have to pay the fee. You might have had 5 loans with ppi on but the bank tell you you have only had 1 with ppi, the banks are the biggest scammers in the world! open your eyes people and stop being a gullable wasteman to the system. December 15, 2015, 6:30 pm They pushed me into calling my old Bank and did a three way call hung the phone up on who ever they phoned at that bank sent me letters which the first I signed months ago then they played me with calls and letters to get to the bank I really started to resent their behaviour and when I asked them not to call or letter me again they ignored this and now want me to prove I did not get ppi cheeky bustard..they have now sent me a letter demanding 5000 pounds... Bully tactics by a really poor rip off company as we say in Scotland.... ELKADOR CAN PAP SHITE AT THE MOON...WANKERS

December 24, 2015, 8:02 am A miss jade river called from Elkador, really pushy. said Barclays owed me over £2000 then gave me the correct wording to ask if i had PPI on my accounts and dialled Barclays for me herself whilst she was on the other line. I have a full recording if anyone would like to investigate this further. Furthermore i want to know how and who sold my information to them that they contacted me. After Barclays disconnected. Jade too had disappeared and when i called her - 'she was busy on another call' I am sick of such companies calling me in for PPI, account fee chargers and accident claims! February 17, 2016, 12:46 pm just received call from elkador finance 01618149333 they obviously have a set of numbers, pestering to know about ppi which banks I used and which credit cards. Told them I knew I had bought ppi and what it was so could not say missold, but he said that if I was told it was compulsory with a loan then this was incorrect so it was missold. They obviously have a list of names and numbers but do not know which banks or credit cards you have, so he went through a list that it might be. I confirmed my bank but refused to give any information on credit cards so he hung up. I think I can claim direct from bank without their 'help' anyway and would encourage anyone else to ignore them. March 8, 2016, 5:01 pm Truly horrible experience with this company. Number from 0161-814-9323 but their head office is in Bournemouth. Email addresses appear to be free gmail accounts. They claim to have completed work on reclaim of PPI. No written correspondence what so ever, no responses to requests for information held by them under the data protection act. Have been informed by a major financial organisation that they refuse to deal with this company. Aggressive over the phone and constant text messages threatening debt collection as well as inconsistent statements to add "late payment fees" to overdue account. August 12, 2016, 12:24 pm I personally had a good experience from Elkador. I did get a call out of the blue but then a young man explained a lot of banks have been fined for miss selling PPI over the last 25 years. I explained to them that I asked my banks myself if I had ever paid PPI to which my own bank said no. I accepted to listen to the gentleman from Elkador as they offer a free search. They located that I paid PPI on a Halifax credit card from 1998 and I received a cheque for £5,819.23!!! I have now requested for Halifax to send me my call recordings from when I spoke to one of their advisors who told me I had never paid the insurance on any products and I seek to take further action against them.
