October 31, 2014, 8:30 am This will be a ppi scam company trying to get an upfront payment and then do nothing with your claim. They also go under the name Litchfield price they are based at the factory, Church st, pontardawe.These two ppi scammers have just set up again and when I say again, that is because they used to go under the names of red reclaims and vanquish claims, guess what at the same address. How do I know this because red reclaims scammed me the charge £358 paid up front did nothing with my claims. They did not contact one bank I have claims going through at the moment and the bank is doing it all for me dead easy. just google red reclaims yourself and look at the address, how these can get away with this bugs me they need stopping. March 10, 2015, 1:12 pm Litchfield Price - don't touch them with a barge pole ! The used to also be known as RedReclaims and Vanquish - both of which are now shut down. But guess what - the same director is now trading as Litchfield Price ! Yes Mr Lloyd Davis - thats you !! THIS IS A SCAMMING PPI COMPANY. They will talk you into allowing them to look into your possible PPI claims - without even knowing what they might be- or indeed whether you have any at all !They will tell lies, and take an upfront fee of £495 ! They then do nothing, except ask you to sign lots of paperwork, and set up a useless "members info" site for you to access and even after loads of "unhappy customer" phone calls - they will then get very rude with you on the phone when you finally get so frustrated with them that you ask for a refund of your fee. They will use every clause in their contract to get out of giving you a refund, then they will slam the phone down. After 5 months of absolutely nothing happening, no contact (unless I rang them), I reported them to MBNA ( the card I had used for the up-front payment) who gave me a full refund (thank-God)and will start to investigate the scam.- They had already heard of Vanquish and Red Reclaims. If you paid on a card - call the provider, explain the scam, and get a full refund NOW. If you are thinking of a PPI reclaim - its dead easy if you just ring your own bank. Don't give any more money to these scammers - Mr Lloyd Davis is probably away on holiday now sunning himself in some tropical paradise on YOUR money. Blind you with a lot of technical jargon , I don't consider myself gullable in any way but I was close with these guys ! Glad I decided to check Hampton Rae online and saw some of the info provided but was not convinced it was authentic. Came across this and I immediately called my credit card company, especially as on receiving their email saw they wanted paying £495...as well as 25% of whatever I got back from PPI! May 11, 2015, 6:54 pm Just had a call from Lichfield Price and they do sound very convincing. When they asked for my credit card details (I was reading about them being scammers on the internet at the time) I said I didn't want to persue it any further and haung up. On reading the above I tried to ring the number back that came up on my phone out of interest (01656 808103) and got an announcement saying that I'd dialled an incorrect number. May 28, 2015, 6:04 pm I fell for these scamming sods patter and they relieved me of £250 that was last november. i have spoken to ashley Evans on a number of occasions and he is very smooth and convincing lately however there has been no contact even after I sent them a nasty email promising them I will call at their offices in person with some very special friends if they do not refund me my hard earned.They have got 14 days to comply! Not pushy and even gave me time to think about this, I took the risk as I knew I was protected using my credit card for the deposit, I have not yet received any money but have received 3 letters stating they are processing cheques totalling £7890.32 from Lloyds, Egg and HSBC. June 15, 2015, 7:38 pm The best thing to do is contact your bank yourself and ask them if they have been contacted regarding your ppi claim by the this claims management company. If they say no then you know you are being led up the garden path just like I was. I contacted my bank in the end and it was all completed within 6 weeks paid into my bank account.

All seemed plausible. 1st guy got all kinds of personal details out of me. 2nd call was off a woman claiming to do a security check on me. 3rd call was off a guy wanting £495 upfront off me. When I told him there was no way I'd pay any company £495,he became pushy. I put it to him that instead of me paying £495 upfront and then 25% of whatever money they reclaim,why don't I pay no upfront fee and just split the money 50/50 with them. He declined,so I said what about no upfront fee and the cheque for ALL the money goes to them and they just pay me 50%. Again he declined. To me it just sounds like a scam to get the £495. I wish I hadn't given them all my details now. Final gambit was he said I'd be getting between £4000 and £10,000 claim and that claims are processed between 21 and 28 days which seems highly unlikely given the amount of other ongoing claims and paperwork involved. July 17, 2015, 9:39 am I got a call about claiming Ppi a while back and, also paid £495 instead of the 1p to check my details. I've received just under £9000 into my bank although the refund from bank was just under £10000. They kept £1000 of that with a further £2900 for fees from me. They took my bank details too check the £1 out/in but in reality they took £495 but my bank blocked it pending an investigation. Sent 2 letters informing of my cancellation B4 14 days and received a phone call asking why I was cancelling only for me too tell them that there was no mention of the £495 up front fee. They said they would check out the phone call and get back too me, I'm still waiting :-) my bank has launched an fraud investigation against them and I'll be reporting them to the claims manage regulators. Very wary so I never gave any bank details out, he asked for the bank card customer service number for some reason. then advised me that they will " do a check and get back to me" I didn't like the sound of it so rang the bank then checked this site out, not going to engage further. September 17, 2015, 6:57 pm dont touch these with a barge pole £495 paid to them in March, no sign of any returned PPI and they do not want to refund my money,I got in touch with my bank and they hopefully will get it refunded for me on my CC .They sound very nice and plausible on the phone but once they have your money THATS IT !! just forms to sign time after time to make it look lke something is happening but its not.be warned stay well clear as for John who thinks he was getting 7000 i wonder is he still waiting ?? as they told me they do not see the cheques as they go straight into your account and that was why they took upfront payments in case people did not pay after receiving PPI payments back.i cannot believe how stupid i have been to be conned like this . October 8, 2015, 1:58 pm I fell for this scam after being called by hampton Rae. very convincing and also directed to check them out on gov web site and companies house and they are regulated by FCA , ministry of justice etc. cancelled with my card company after they took 495.00 off me. I emailed them to cancel them working on my behalf and also called them . received a call from "david edwards" telling me that all this stuff on the internet is malicious companies out to get them and also that they just shared offices with all the previously identified PPI companies. Once he realized that i wasn't falling for his rubbish he then proceeded to tell me they would sue me and that i maybe wasn't their type of customer - yes i probably am not their type of customer cause i didn't fall for their threats and told them in simple terms to cancel any instruction i have given under my rights to cancel and refund my money. October 13, 2015, 4:12 pm You will never see a penny of your £495 'refundable deposit' again. The company are the biggest bunch of con artists I've ever come across. They tell you that the claims will be settled in 6-8 weeks but this is a load of bull and you can be expected to wait at least 18 -24 months for a payment from the lenders. The £495 is also only refunded if you claim back less than the £495 but having a refund is NOT going to happen anyway. If you claim back £700 they will invoice you for 25% of that plus VAT and also keep the £495 you paid upfront. They have no intentions of helping you as a customer just taking your money and leaving you wait around for month with nothing and your CC just building up interest WHICH THEY WILL NOT PAY!!! They will tell you your claim can 'generally' be turned around in 28 days THIS IS TOTAL CRAP, and when you speak to them about it they will say 'claims can take longer depending on the lenders' 'we can't give you a timescale it is physically impossible' after you have parted with your £496 and your 14 day cooling off period is over they can drag your claims on for years. Wrong of them to do so yes but it is what they do. Best thing to do is NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY! You will never benefit from it. Caller Type: Spammer

October 29, 2015, 8:53 pm Litchfield Price contacted me at the end of December 2014 and I checked the website during the cold call conversation and everything seemed authentic. Gave credit card details for the payment once the PPI claim was completed and they deducted £495 from my card account but have not manage to reclaim any money. Asked Mastercard to refund the amount and report this scamming company. Litchfield Price has many reported complaints and should not be listed at Companies House and be allowed to trade. People should avoid trusting PPI claims companies when individuals can easily ask for a refund. Check Google Earth location and you will see the Litchfield Price registered address is a terraced house in South Wales. They use the background noise to make the call conversation sound like a call centre or office. I gave them my credit card details for a 1p transaction and the next morning saw they had tried to take £495 from my account. November 9, 2015, 5:56 pm Like all the others before me I was also duped & conned into parting with £495 having been contacted by Hampton Rae on both my mobile & landline, They are very convincing & all paperwork appears very official. I was contacted from a mobile 07860021982 which as you will guess when phoned is an automated service advising it to be an incorrect number. I have contacted my banks to establish whether they have received any claims from Hampton Rae or any subsidiary companies only to be advised no contact had been lodged for PPI. Emails have been sent to Hampton Rae customer services requesting an update without any response. I paid by Barclaycard, I have contacted their Fraud Department, if I could find a way of having these people arrested, I would, £495.00 is monies I cannot afford. They told me the company name was Litchfield Price. I have spoken to the lady, Simon, Alex, Dennis and Lloyd. How many more work there, or are they changing their names?? November 18, 2015, 5:19 pm I too have been in contact with Hampton Rae for the last couple of days. Ive spoke with Alex and Jamie. They were very good at giving the spill and knew an incredible about me, and i foolishly told them about my debits and spending. I thought they sounded genuine and very convincing. I couldnt find my credit card so had to keep putting them off which they did not like and said it had to be completed by the end of today. Well Ive been out today and again didn't have my card on me so I said you'll have to wait till I get home. Alex rang me dead on 4 and I said id just come through the door Id ring him back he said he'd ring me!! When he rang back I was on another call and checking my emails and thought Id just check out this company before handing over the money. MY GOD AM I GLAD I DID. Thank you guys you seem to have saved me losing near on £500!! He was so pushy saying i had the money in my overdraft so i could pay it out of that and just use my credit card for purchases. I said I couldnt and the fee had to be paid on CC atleast I thought id have some come back if it did go wrong. The last email I had off them was July but when I rang them I was told that lenders can take a while to respond. In that time the interest has accumilated so I am getting really worried. Just tried to ring them but it was an 0844 no. The number is out of service.!! Now I have sent an email in the last few minutes but its not looking good reading all these comments. I feel sick.!! November 26, 2015, 8:48 pm There using 01656 808103 now. Got a convincing call from them today...until they asked me for my card details. As they had called me, I declined saying I'd need further details before handing over card details and they said they'd email me info. Got a pretty loose email tonight that said nothing particularly relevant, so googled them and here I am. They went by the name Litchfield Price for my call. November 28, 2015, 4:18 pm I just can't believe I've been scammed. I cannot believe it . Just over 12 months now since I coughed up 495 hard earned. It makes me feel sick. Until I found this site everything I looked at made it look as though it was a genurine company and I had recourse . They way they reel you in and string you along is unbelievable . December 3, 2015, 12:45 pm BEWARE : hampton rae contacted my husband last night for the first time but on the following number 0844 3182938 and by someone called Ryan Pendry!! just like all of the above he asked for an upfront fee of £495 which my husband refused to do as i wanted to check out the company before hand. I am so glad i have found this post, as tonight they are ringing my husband back to proceed!!. I really hope the poor people who have been scammed by these monsters get their money back. December 11, 2015, 12:43 am i was contacted again after several weeks ago said i was not willing to pay upfront fee, told him about this forum and said we were not real people and it was all lies on here, he did keep trying to justify the explanation off the 495 fee but told him point blank i was not willing to take the risk, but he was polite all the way.
