February 20, 2015, 7:41 pm This is an EDF number and according to my research using google they appear to have been using this number since 2012 for the promotional purposes to get people to change their energy companies. March 27, 2015, 12:59 pm This is EDF calling with offers to save money by switching your energy company. They tell you that you can get out of your current contract with your energy supplier with no penalties and switch to a new contract to get guaranteed savings up to mid 2016. They didn't tell me exactly how much they charge so I could properly compare the different rates of each company so it's a bit weird to claim guaranteed savings to with cold calls. October 9, 2015, 2:40 am This was "EDF Energy" and they were calling to ask me if I had wall insulation in my walls and loft space. They wanted some personal information from me and offered to do the insulation free of charge. I didn't feel comfortable giving out personal information to a random caller so I hung up instead. They keep wanting me to take a day off work to install a new meter, yet the old one works fine. Its apparently for my convenience but when asked how this meets my needs they can't tell me.
