January 7, 2015, 8:32 pm An automated PPI claim that asks you to press a number to be put through to an agent/banker to start discussing getting a big fat refund check for past improperly sold with excess fees over the years. I'm not sure if this is legit, but I was very uncomfortable being "three way" called to a banker I don't know to begin discussing personal details to get the check Is this real? January 31, 2015, 12:09 am PPI nuisance calls. Refunds are scams to get your bank details and suck your account dry after you put all your trust in the big refund lie. Never believe this crap. Nobody ever gets these refunds. Never heard of a single person getting one. I have heard of multiple stories of bank thefts requiring account closures. February 23, 2015, 3:44 am PPI refund frauds. They mass call people in the UK off lists with arrogant lies about PPI refund checks. You might also get calls for unsurance refunds or credit card fee refunds all with the same lies of checks you can get with wire transfer to your account. They never offer checks which should be evidence that this is not an honest caller. Why not just give it to you? Why does it require bank transfers when checks are cheaper?? I got a call a couple of minutes ago from an unknown number that I did pick up but it was about PPI. I now see I was right ot ignore the call from this number. Caller Type: Scammer

March 1, 2015, 6:11 am These are cold calls from a "PPI Team." The automated message said to press 5 to make a PPI claim and press 9 to opt out. They tell you that you'll be called within 24 hours time. They ended up calling me the next day. The person on the lone had no idea how my details were gathered or who they were purchased from. They have a website at http://theppiteam.com/ when you can make complaints to and request being removed from their list. No idea how effective that will be. Registered office is shown as 1st Floor, Dalton House, Dane Road, Sale, Cheshire M33 7AR, interestingly also the HQ of Lepus Marketing (same directors) and about 1.5 miles from their website address at Marsland House. Directors are: Mr Gary Nixon, Mr Kevin Norton and Mr Michael Winniczuk. All these are directors of other companieas registered at Festival Way, Festival Park, Stoke 0n Trent, Staffordshire ST1 5SQ. March 10, 2015, 1:36 pm Keep receiving calls from them. Knowing it's a Telepest about PPI claims, despite the fact I dont & never have had a loan, I ignored the call yet again. Straight after came a call from 0843 724 5897. I assume they're sister companies so I ignored this too. You may find it useful to block both or add them both to rejeced calls to stop receiving them. March 11, 2015, 5:51 pm Keep getting these calls too. What's annoying is that they are making the whole PPI thing look like a scam when it's actually legit. If you ever had PPI on a loan, call your bank and lodge a complaint. I did and got £1K for an oversell of about £500 (amount compound interest at 8%). The claim was simple to make - fill in a form 10 min phone interview. PPI agents make their money by taking a slice of your compensation. Do it yourself. You don't need these parasites. March 13, 2015, 1:51 pm 0333 155 0025 UNWANTED Automated call offering to claim PPI for you. I pressed the button to speak to a claims hander. The following day I got a call from 0161 9050891 (Sale, Manchester perhaps?) Quite an agressive calls handler. I asked for the calls to stop and hung up. He tried calling again but I hung up. March 20, 2015, 5:24 pm I love calls from people like this my record keeping them on line waiting for me to come back is 22 minutes, i tell them they have phoned my work mobile n to call back on my personal number, one I've got but never use only to send myself a text once every six months to keep the number active to myself. Once had a guy drive over 200 miles to find i live in a middle block of flats solar panels to fit where, sorry you time been wasted. Oh what joy, to pay back these companies n the strange thing i don't get any more calls from solar or cavity wall firms anymore. Caller Type: Telemarketer

June 18, 2015, 11:54 pm Keep getting these calls. Block one number and get called by another. Seems they know about apple and android mobile options to block calls. I found out today that the telephone preference service accepts mobile numbers and landlines. I've registered my number and I really hope I don't get another. I also reported to action fraud once for a similar call by a company with a Manchester dialling code asking for bank details. Interestingly had no calls from the Manchester number since. June 19, 2015, 4:59 am Random cold calls for PPI refunds for "missold" financial products due to new legislation that requires these financial situations to repay the overcharged fees on credit cards, insurance, mortgages, loans, and possibly even pension fees.
