A big scam being run here. They claimed to be from my bank, but wouldn't tell me the bank's name unless I gave them my name. They screams of scam right there. No professional bank makes calls like that.

I have received several calls from this number. I answered the last one, and they said they were a company called Network Research doing market research on behalf of Lloyds Bank. I called LLoyds Bank and they confirm they have asked this company to do research on their behalf. Network Research have a website with a telephone number 020 7680 5100. I called this number and they confirmed that the phone number 0800 012805 was them. I asked them to remove my number from my database which they said they would do.

Asked for my name and told me they were doing a survey for my bank. Didn't say what bank so I hung up. I have done some banking recently so it makes sense, but I didn't like how it felt as they didn't mention the bank right away. Usually they do if it's 100% legit.

Network Research calling to conduct a customer satisfaction survey about your experience with dealing with a bank, usually Lloyds Bank. Most likely calling you have to deal with them recently. Legit call, but may be annoying to some.

Had a call from this number at 20:50 last Thursday saying they were my bank. This would have been contrary to my contact details and preferences, plus number is ex-directory and registered with Call Preference.
Have subsequently been into local branch of my bank: they re-confirmed my contact preference details and said call didn't originate from them.

Survey telemarketing compant called "Network Research." They may call with a wide range of questions of whatever issues their paying clients wanted. Basically that are a call centre paid by other companies or government agencies to survey people about certain issues or lifestyles choices. They have a website you can look at discussing removal choices at:

A genuine, legit company. They cannot reveal the bank name unless speaking to the named respondent because each individual has their right to their banking being private - revealing your name will not mean youre getting scammed!! as soon as you reveal the name, they can reveal the name of the bank and specific branch that you visited (they do customer care surveys for people who have had a meeting within the last week or have made an enquirey). They tell you that your bank may call you to get further information about the survey you fill in. I know this is legit as i answered the Survey and a few weeks later Lloyds called me regarding the survey i filled in to understand my feedback more - i ended up booking an appointment to have another meeting where my problem was sorted out! Legitimate, Market Research company.

They probably bought it, from other people, perhaps even reputable institutions like even BT or your insurance company, lot of money to be made by selling lists of their customers and their contact details, might even be the proprietors of websites like this one ... These con merchants are everywhere !!

They have told me that they calling from LLOYDS BANK. AS I OPENED MY ACCOUND RECENTLY WITH THE SAME BANK. calling me everyday to get my opinion doesnt make sense to me to be fair. There is definitely something fishy.

Completely genuine. I work for a bank and all high street banks employ this market research company, who are bound by data protection laws which means they are unable to reveal details of where they are calling from until speaking to the account holder.
These calls help improve the service that you receive in your local bank.

I am a former employee of Network Research. Their job is to cold call customers of Lloyds, Scottish Widows, TSB and Halifax in order to do a survey about the customer service so the bank can decide what staff to give bonuses to or give a b"ll"cking. As the employees of Network Research are on a zero hours contract, they in turn will lose work if they don't get enough surveys so they are pushed to bully the customers into doing the surveys. Most of them are 16 or 17 so don't be too hard on them- they don't know any better. It's the management and the banks themselves that are really to blame. Employees are told if they name the bank without speaking to the right person they will be prosecuted under the data protection act, so no wonder they won't tell you unless you say you are the right person. Just tell your bank you are fed up with Network research calling and maybe LBOS will terminate the contract, Although probably not, from the quality of service feedback I used to hear about . Lloyds has some really shocking levels of customer service.!

Ok, missed call from this number so have looked it up here. Hmm, my opinion is scam. This is why - I am a customer of one of the banks mentioned by others here, but iv not had a single meeting with them this year! And they do not have the telephone number I have this missed call on! So why want research from me on customer service when iv not had any meetings to report on. And how did they get my nymber??? I think random cold call phishing. Will now add this number to my reject list.

just answered a call from a young lady asking for my husband to do a customer survey about a visit he made to the bank. I told her we had a joint account so she could talk to me instead. She insisted it had to be hubby. I asked her the name of the bank she was calling for but she refused to say. I told her that my husband was in the room with me and once she told me the bank name so I could verify if she was genuine I would pass the phone to him.

She still refused saying that it was about a visit he had made so she must talk to him. I told her I thought she was lying because hubby hasn't been to the bank in months as I deal with all banking. In the end she gave up. Hubby sat watching and laughing saying he wished he had videoed the whole thing.

They have phoned me once every day for a week now. I live in Thailand but have a UK mobile. Good luck to them - I don't answer calls I don't recognise (costs me £1.50 on my contract just to pick up). I have learnt to let calls go through to my answerphone. Dross callers like this never leave call-me-back messages. If I'm in the UK soon and they are still calling I will answer to find out which of my banks is being so annoying employing them and then threaten my bank with account closure! We should not have to put up woth this rubbish.

Just received a call form a belligerent woman wanting to speak with my elderly mother. The caller claimed to be from my mothers bank, but when I asked which bank she said she couldn't tell me due to breach of confidentiality - what a load of crock! Jumped up asian woman refused to give me any indication of who they were. Dodgy as anything, evidently some form scam, direct misleading introduction of themselves and should most definitely a company to be investigated. As a Money Adviser who has relatively close relations with many banks - I can confirm that this company (albeit annoying) is legit. Most high street banks, ones primarily named in other comments, hire this company "Network Research" to call and ask a few questions. The information you may or may not provide to them is covered by the Data Protection Act and they would be fined a large amount of money for breaching this. The employee's calling you are often told that if they inform you of the name of your bank before confirming your identity, they will be sanctioned under this act.

Sure it's annoying - but it's basically a call centre full of 16-20 year olds trying to get in to work. There's no scam - nothing but honest questions, from relatively pleasant people.

It's unlikely you'll gain or lose anything by answering or ignoring their calls - if you're up for a few questions - make their day. They get paid for it.

I'm not a customer of any of the companies have been posted about here. My home is rented I've lived in it about a year. I assume that the calls are for the person that lived here before me as the calls I'm getting come about twice a day and when I answer they hang up. I assume this is because my voice is female and they are looking for the previous tenant who was male. When I do 1471 and call the number back I get a recording saying it's Network Research. This may or may not be a scan, but hang up calls at this rate is harassment.

Had a call from this number even though I am on TPS and ex-directory.
Best case scenario is that this is from a genuine market research company who have been illegally given my personal details (name, number, and fact I have an account) by a bank.
Worst case is that this is a bunch of crims, the caller ID is spoofed, they got my details by hacking and are trying to extract more personal info.
Either way this type of call is not in my interest so I did not answer.

This belongs to Network Research operating feedback on behalf of Lloyds Bank probably regarding a complaint you have made.
