June 29, 2014, 3:29 pm Fake DWP calling to review my circumstances. They told me that phone interviews will becoming very normal and that I should expect a lot of them. I called DWP directly after hanging up on this person and they didn't know what I was talking about. Then this person called back again saying they need to review my claim. July 3, 2014, 5:26 pm i got this call today after the call i emailed DWP stating the phone number and they confirm it is them, really stupid though as i got moved to work program like 2 weeks ago which involved redoing my claim so going through it seemed silly. November 7, 2014, 2:41 pm I rang the number, a Scottish female said the call came from Alliance Trust in Dundee. Not sure why other people are getting DWP. Perhaps, this is a call centre focused on financial products specifically. PPI, Pensions, and investments?? April 3, 2015, 2:24 am This call is from the DWP or Department of Work & Pensions. They knew some of my personal information such as my name and post code. I just answered yes and no to their questions as they were just verifying a claim I had made. Some of the questions they asked me sounded designed to trick me into screwing up my claim story. April 17, 2015, 11:53 am The jobcentre dwp. They're acting like kid inside that office I agree. If they keep calling you then get a court order against them. You can. Should call expect no playing around from them if you get one. I know this because I worked for a law case against them. The jobcentre don't want legal trouble. Fight take jobcentre to court. You'll win no matter what as long as you show poof they called. If you use them your money will get sent to your adviser. May 22, 2015, 7:27 pm This is the "Department of Work and Pensions " and they called to tell me that because I had quit my job I couldn't get payments from them for 4 months. This is not true, I never quit so I had to fight this. I spoke to a supervisor and eventually cleared this all up. Getting my payments now and all is fine. The call was fairly easy to deal with as they knew most of my personal details already and just need me to answer yes or no to a number of questions they had. Easy stuff. July 27, 2015, 12:09 pm Had a call from this number today at 11:40 hours. Lady named Liz Ramsey says that she is from the DWP. She claimed that her office is in Pembroke Dock. She said that there is nothing to worry about,(ha ha), my EsA is being adjusted.etc. She wants to verify any change in circumstances. She wanted to ask me some questions. I refused saying that i do not know who she is. I told that my number had been withdrawn from the DWP because of many such telephone calls. She said that she would send me a form. I wanted to complain about this phone call and asked for her complaint details. She said that he would go and find them out, (as if she did not know etc) I was left waiting in silence for some 5 minutes and I then hung up. I do suspect that this call is fraudulent. September 5, 2015, 2:58 am I got a call from this number and the app on my phone said it was spam so i looked up the number and looked on here, so with the conflicting views on the number i rang DWP and they did not ring me and had no idea who the number was. So i rang PIP and ESA and neither of them had any idea where the number came from and they haven't heard of it and both said their numbers come up with held and that nobody had tried to contact me from either department and that i shouldn't answer it because it isn't DWP. October 21, 2015, 4:34 pm I got a call from a lady that said she was from DWP and that she wanted to confirm some personal details regarding changes to my pension that I had made. I didn't know who she was so I refused to speak to her. Nothing has come in the mail so I will assume that all my changes were valid on their own. If they mail me I will address them. So I rang them again to see if they had called back and they confirmed that they hadn't. DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE AND DON NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!! March 2, 2016, 9:23 am 0800 023 2635 Is DWP. I had x2 calls and didn't answer either as the number not identified in my phone. I then received txt msg after asking for some additional info to a form I recently submitted. As I've had previous txt msgs from DWP ie reminder appointment etc.. This came through my phone as DWP as phone identified caller. For info: They follow security procedures so will not say who they are till they speak to the named person as this would violate confidentiality!! Also the reason most people don't know about it as there's many department sections in any council government buildings so the likelihood of people knowing things is slim. June 28, 2016, 12:35 pm I phoned the 0345 number for universal credit to get an advanced payment. I then missed a call from 0800 023 2635, when I listened to the voicemail it was the advisor I had spoken to previously. January 24, 2017, 4:09 pm I missed the call & then checked it online looking at your comments but minutes later I got a text saying was from DWP & giving me a local number to call regarding a ESA claim so I suspect it is actually the DWP, if you not sure ask them for a local DWP office number & then call your local Jobcentre offine & they should be able to confirm what it's all about. June 27, 2017, 10:45 am This number called saying was dwp calling requisting some information and asked for for security check info. I gave the girl wrong info as I was suspicious and she was ok ok you passed the check. Then I said to her I just gave you incorrect info are you from dwp and she no you didn't give me incorrect info haha. I said bye and I hung up. Then contacted them directly on 0345 and it was them. Weird some there dont have a clue what they are doing..
