April 6, 2015, 3:05 am Caller claimed to be from Halifax and wanted me to book an appointment come into a branch office to discuss new account options and financial products services. I told them I would just go into a local branch on my own when I had time instead (quickly) and then hung up. Can't verify if this is a legit caller or not. Perhaps, someone else can do that part??? April 26, 2015, 12:22 am The caller id said it was "Halifax" and they were calling on behalf of Bank of Scotland to confirm my name. I think this Halifax company is a call centre for multiple banks. Or at least they are claiming to be. No way to verify the authenticity of this caller. I would probably think it would be a good idea to call your bank direct to make sure all your accounts are in good standing. No trust random calls over the phone for banking or money issues. April 28, 2015, 10:03 pm Caller asked for me by name and said they were from Halifax and that my bank wanted to arrange a meeting in branch so we could talk about Savings Account options. May 19, 2015, 5:42 pm yeah, scam call pretending to be Lloyds, Asian guy, don't give details people. They may be trying to clear your bank account out. Hard to stop once they start that as you have to close the acccount an get a new one.

June 10, 2015, 7:38 am It's a call centre who are contracted out by various banks to call you when you go overdrawn on your bank account. They then arrange for you to go into your bank where they put the hard sell for loans. July 7, 2015, 5:05 pm This is from Llyods bank and is not a con , asking for you to come in so they can try to sign you up to new products and give you loans that you don't need. I've stopped bothering with these hour meetings that these callers try to arrange as I don't need or want what they are trying to sell me. It's a waste of my time and I've now blocked this number. You'll get a letter from Llyods eventually stateing that they couldn't reach you and for you to contact them about going into your bank for this meeting. I just ignore that too! July 28, 2015, 8:05 pm This is a Lloyds Banking Group call centre. They are legit - although they are cold callers. Just add the number to your call reject/black list and your phone will automatically reject calls without you knowing. They don't just target Lloyds customers, so tell them you're not interested. July 29, 2015, 6:37 pm they called me on my business number and I do not give it out in any circumstances as a contact number to companies, banks or utilities, for this I use only my personal number. The number they called me on is available to the public to contact my business so I doubt for one minute that it's legit in any way! April 10, 2017, 9:30 am This number is from the Halifax group. I have just received a text message from a mortgage advisor who had tried several times to contact me on this number. When I rand back on a local number and asked if this was the number she called from she did tell me that it was from the "lloyds tsb group". They as a group can no longer use a with held number, as the law stands they now have to use a re contactable number.
