Virgin is aware of this and can block the number for you if you inform that you would like that. April 7, 2015, 8:54 pm Just had the same saying they are from virgin media and there's an issue with my account. They phoned on my mobile AND landline within 5 minutes of each other. Basically told her where to go, she said she will call back some other time. Again told her not to call, said they will remove my details off their system. May 7, 2015, 8:07 pm Hi. I've had this number and a different one ringing my mobile and home number constantly. Due to being at work and doing night shifts I haven't answered previously. But I accidentally answered when they used a different number and they knew my name and said they were from Virgin also. I don't give out my details to anyone let alone when they are rude to you because you won't. I said prove you know my password and they cut me off. Next time they could get someone vulnetable. All the research seems to point to the same situation from all the people who are getting calls from this number. Be cautious with your personal information over the phone to anyone. June 4, 2015, 4:34 pm I have received 3 calls from the same number in the last 2 days. I hadn't answered any as I didn't recognize the number and if it was something important they'd leave a message. September 8, 2015, 11:19 pm Keep getting calls from 08004089341 telephoned virgin media on 150 spoke to a member of virgin he said this is a virgin sales line team, I do not think this is correct. They phone my landline and mobile many times a day up to 9pm at night. Really sick of virgin media at moment cannot wait for contract period to end. October 21, 2015, 2:44 pm Had a call from someone claiming to be virgin media asking for 2 letters from my password, when I refused to give these, they requested my bill payment method. Again refused to give this information as they would not say what the call was regarding.The caller got agitated when I kept pressing for information and I said I'd contact virgin media customer services myself..to which he said 'fine' and abruptly ended the call. November 9, 2015, 7:41 pm Had a call from this number tonight on my mobile phone (I have Virgin as service provider). I pressed to answer the call but I did not say anything, I stayed silent. The other end did not say anything and then dropped their call. I have just googled the number on my pc and it came up with this website and all these comments. September 20, 2016, 4:01 pm Have been receiving such calls but as the caller asked me how I pay my bills I assumed it was a scam call. Reported this using 789 and the person I spoke to checked and told me these are actually calls from Virgin Media's sales team offering upgrades etc. Seems a strange way to go to work and I told them so!
