October 28, 2014, 10:41 am They keep ringing me and it's a Scottish man always on the phone I have told them loads that they have the wrong number because they keep asking for someone I have never even heard of yet they keep ringing me back!!! It's getting really annoying now!!!! Yet they claim to be Vodaphone but if they were Vodaphone they would know that the name and the number don't match!! Best thing to do is to ignore numbers that you don't know especially those with 08080, I don't know any actual company with that kind of number, the real Vodafone would probably be 0800 not 08080. January 7, 2015, 12:23 pm They called me a number of times and I missed the call, when I eventually answered they said they were vodaphone, I said I didn't want to buy anything they said they were offering a reward as I was a loyal customer. Asked for details which I refused to give and quoted data protection as I didn't know who they were. I asked them to confirm how long I had the account and if there was one one two lines associated. They said they couldn't tell me until I confirmed my details. I said I wasn't telling them until they replied to my queries. They said they would have to end the call and hung up. Result!! January 7, 2015, 8:23 pm Had several calls from this number. Today I picked up, wish I hadn't! The guy said he was from vodafone (win back team), wanted to discuss a deal they could offer me to return to vodafone, however the deal didn't make sense.....he said I would get 4 months free if I signed up today, when I asked him what would happen between June and Sept when my current contract ran out he said I wouldn't get a bill before Oct. By my calculations that's 9 months, not 4. I asked for an email with details of the offer on, but he skirted around the question. I hung up in the end, did not trust him. January 13, 2015, 5:56 pm They haev been calling me for over a week now. I answered last Thursday and a man asked a few security questions, he had all my information in terms of how much my bills have been the past few months, the fact that I exceed my internet usage, the type of phone I have etc. HOWEVER, he tried to sell me diffent things, I said no to everything, he has going ona nd on and I put the phone down, since then I receive at least 7 calls a day from this number. I answered yesterday, I told then NOT to call me again as I am at work and I can't have my phone rining constantly. The man said okay.. well it wasn't okay as today I received 5 more calls of them. I haven't been a customer of theirs for over 10 years! the automated message said I could hold for an advisor or call another number. I'm quite happy with my provider so I've just left it. They will not be Vodafone (though there may be a business connection) as my daughter who is a legit employee of Vodafone has confirmed that they can only be independent sales companies. February 16, 2015, 12:38 pm They phoned me today opening with the usual platitudes, to immediately ask for the 1st and 3rd digits of my vodafone PIN....I said this was very odd, why would you phone a customer to ask for their PIN? The caller ended the call by saying he'd update my account to show that I wasn't willing to divulge personal information on the phone. I'd be careful with this one. February 26, 2015, 2:43 pm I have received several calls from this number which I have not been able to answer due to it cutting off after two rings. I confirmed the number was Vodaphone and spoke with them to advise of the of this scammer. Having spoken with four departments customer services were eventually put on the line and after 10 minutes, after checking the number 08080996746 was Vodaphone by ringing it, they seemed unperturbed that someone was pretending to be them. They had no record of any attempts to contact my phone bearing in mind they admitted that I was in the zone for an upgrade. Be warned this company dont care about customers! February 26, 2015, 3:17 pm I got a call from them yesterday which I missed as I was working, then I called me again last night and I answered. When I answered they asked for me and I was on there for nearly 20 minutes talking to them, as they kept asking me things about my phone like what do you like your phone, do you like your phone do you have this do you have that. Then today have another miss call from them as I was working, in the end I googled the number to see who they were. March 13, 2015, 12:03 pm I'm not with Vodaphone and never have been, when I got a call from this number just now it was a recorded message of some bloke saying "this is Vodaphone, we have identified this call as spam and it will be blocked" it then went on but I hung up in case I was being charged to answer as to be honest I still think it was fake as it just sounded like a guy recording it in his bedroom, not professional at all! Most companies have the posh automated woman, the amateurish nature of the message and the fact I'm not with Vodaphone raised my suspicions. I spoke to Vodafone shortly after who confirmed he was not an employee. They have now cancelled all marketing, but it still leaves me feeling aggrieved. On another forum you'll see a so-called Vodafone employee claiming that the caller is from Vodafone, but that's a lie. I believe the caller is from Convergys Intelligent Contact Limited, formerly LBM. I think it's loathsome of Vodafone to pass details to subhumans such as these. We usually do not answer but when I have done so there is no response from the caller number so I have no idea who it is or what they want. August 6, 2015, 4:41 pm Caller falsely claimed to be one of our current suppliers and asked to speak to a particular staff member - who now works in different department. When told he would no longer be the person who deals with telephone services and asked for her "supplier no." (so I could find who the account had been re-assigned to) she claim she couldn't tell me, that she needed the particular staff member to confirm his details first. Then asked for my password. I thought they'd want just certain letters of it, but they wanted the whole thing! That set the alarm bells really ringing and I refused to give it. They explained why they wanted it and of course I still wouldn't give it, so they said they couldn't carry on with the call. No problem there, I never wanted the call in the first place! I called Vodafone and asked if they knew anything about this number as I'd read reviews and people had said the person calling was supposed to be from Vodafone. But was acting strange and asking for personal details. The guy I spoke to said Vodafone do call loyal customers but if ever they do they would never ask for your full passcode only ever two numbers and that there would be a note put on their system saying they had made the call. There was no note on their system. Definetly a dodgy number. Do not answer these calls. I had premium numbers blocked just to be safe. Caller Type: Unknown

August 9, 2016, 1:03 pm Francseca from Vodafone called me to tell me that my contract was expiring. She wanted me to give her my details to offer me discounts. I asked her to verify that she was genuinely from Vodafone. She said she would send me a pin and then call me back for me to read it back to her. She did not call me back. The number belongs to Vodafone. I checked later with Vodafone. They do not have any record of any call to my number from VODAFONE. BE CAREFUL FOLKS. August 11, 2016, 12:20 pm Oh dear, do none of you know how an outbound call centre works? I've worked for outbound sales at Vodafone through an outsourcing company before, although it is not the most professional there is nothing dodgy about it. The reason they do not have the same information that a voda cust service adviser would have is because they don't have as indepth a system as they don't need it. They receive the data from Vodafone and that goes through the dialler, which is normally the customer's name and address depending on whether or not that info was taken when you originally purchased your sim. obviously they wouldn't have your sensitive info. don't be rude with these people when they call you, they're doing a job like everyone else.
